Ufff..This Murphy's Laws

According to Murphy's Laws,"If Anything can go wrong,It will".
U might be wondering why all of a sudden i took this topic.Well, this is what happened to me last night:(.I said in my previous post that we are inviting a few friends for dinner.So,As per the plan,we moved from office a bit early,took all the necessary groceries and reached home at around 5 P.M.Power was not there.Sometimes we do have a power cut till 6 P.M.So we thought the same and didn't bother much and started cooking.6.. 6.30..No signs of power and slowly it's becoming dark too.Only then we realised, its only in our house the power got cut. Pchh.Husband checked all the fuses,connections.Everything's fine and we really had no clue of what might have happened..I took a quick shower ,draped myself in a cotton saree,did little puja and lit all the diyas(earthern lamps) that were bought for diwali and lit some candles and all.Luckily our home is fully ventilated and theres no problem for fresh air.The guests came,we sat in that dark and started talking for half an hour.Meanwhile i finished major part of cooking with the help of candles and only pulihora is to be made..so set the tamarind to soak and we all went down the apartment to fire crackers, came back and started doing this pulihora,when suddenly the gas is also gone..Phewwww...nooo..But, with the help of neighbour's kitchen,i somehow finished it. Finally at around 9,the neighbouring guys shared their power and we got the lights and only then i saw the colors of the prepared food.:)They were ok..Finally finished off the dinner and the leftovers are jus enuf for today's breakfast :)So nothing has gone wasted and i am happy for that :).

So what do u call this??Whatever..But,Murphy's law will hold true everytime for me..Even this gas-getting-over will happen only when guests are at home and see this power.Huhh...
By the way,I loved the floating candles/flowers/diyas arrangement.Will put up the pic soon.
